Been there…
So much of this series echoes my foundational experiences with the church starting in the early seventies through 1991 when we parted ways with the Charismatic dominion theology church where my wife and I met, married and had our two children. The church had also been involved with the discipleship/shepherding movement in the eighties. We parted ways over Christian vs public education (we were both public school teachers) but were becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the direction the church was heading. This was a good series to fill in the gaps to present day and see how many of our right wing friends from back then ended up supporting someone so diametrically opposed to their stances during the Clinton years.
