“I listen to every podcast, and I learn from every podcast. For the most part, it’s great and full of good info. But, Terry focuses on the haters way too much. Don obviously has earned his way to where he is now. All the giants he’s killed have been earned, and anyone who doubts that or puts him down just doesn’t get it, and their opinion doesn’t matter. However, you give them way too much attention. Let them say whatever the heck they want. Anyone that knows deer and knows hunting can read between the lines and see what’s really going on. Don ain’t on 1000 acres in Iowa, we get it.
Again, I really do like the podcast, but when 10-15% of each one talks about haters, it gets old fast. Let them talk all the crap they want, no one cares. Everyone that’s successful has haters, it’s just par for the course. I listen regularly to 8-10 hunting podcasts because I drive a lot for work. The majority of listeners want to hear stories about how deer were killed, learn new tactics about hunting/land management, and catch up on what’s going on.
On a more positive note, I do think you guys do a good job of eliminating the fluffy product-pushing BS that the industry is full of right now. People are sick of gimmicks and BS, and I appreciate the bluntness.
I’ve just got one more small bone to pick, and I know it won’t go over well. But...Don’s accomplishments and character speak for themselves. When listeners get to hear the whole story, we can tell what’s going on. We don’t need to hear 10 minutes of terry “selling” Don’s accomplishments. Guys that are in the field day in and day out know what it takes to kill the best bucks in your area year after year. 95+% of the guys listening aren’t your typical weekend warriors that you have to explain his accomplishments to. We get it.
Alright, rant over. Just my two cents. Thanks for putting the podcast out, I listen to every one. I hope this doesn’t come across as too negative, just constructive criticism.”
