“I’ve been a fan of chicane since the first album in 1996 and one of my best memories of the 90s is lying on my back on a rooftop in the mountains of southern Spain one night on a mountain biking holiday listening to far from the madding crowds watching a meteor shower -with shooting stars seemingly in time to the tracks - magical!
I’ve seen him live in a small venue in Birmingham in 2006 and have all the albums. I discovered his sunsets podcasts very early on and they are my ‘go to’ music for any occasion. Sitting /standing on the tube in London when I’m there, driving, walking, gardening, lazing, exercising, and currently while I’m in hospital as an emergency admission. Drowning out the noisy ward background and keeping me zen with this potentially life threatening problem is all down to Sunsets.
One day I’ll pluck up the courage to call for a soundtrack request but until then I hope Nick keeps up the great work.
Through his podcast we’ve discovered so many great artists and l love his selections. My favourite episode is 209 so far which I must have replayed so many times.
