“I love this podcast. The stories are well curated and provided a good slice of Chinese life, culture, and history. All of the readers are terrific…except Cliff Larsen. I’ve come to cringe every time he’s reading. It’s not his over annunciation that prompted me to write the review (irksome though it is) but it’s the voices he attempts to do when quoting someone in the article. They are so forced and irritating. His trying to emulate Nixon’s voice in a story a few months back was embarrassing. His attempt at a Norwegian accent in the recent article on over packaging was borderline offensive. And he even mispronounced Santorini in that article. I’ll continue listening to this podcast but please, less Cliff Larsen”
