But the brave army of Veer Rajendra firmly faced the Chalukya army in 'Vengi' and finally defeated them. Someshwar II's younger brother 'Vikramaditya VI, who was against Someshwar II, went to Chola emperor Veer Rajendra in surrender. The reign of Emperor Veer Rajendra from 1063-64 AD to 1069 AD is full of incidents of bravery and power of the Chola dynasty.
