“The good:
Simms’ insight is top-notch. He’s a lifelong student of the game, and it shows. Seriously, he sees the game and players from an inside perspective unlike almost anyone else, and him having his own podcast let’s him break things down way better than your typical ESPN/NFL Network/FOX analyst can.
The bad:
Co-hosts are boring (Florio is decent though), doesn’t have good chemistry with Simms, and this diminishes what he can bring in terms of insight. One thing Simms needs is someone that can help pick things out of his brain and help articulate them, haven’t really had anyone on thus far that seems really capable of this (Ahmed is esp. bad, Florio is the closest).
The ugly:
The constant cursing. I know Simms feels like it helps him express himself, but the frequency is just unnecessary. My wife gets mad when u listen w/kids in the car, which is a shame. Not a big deal personally (I’m not that soft) but it’s kind of the same mentality as “smoking makes you look cool”; antiquated and juvenile. Lastly, Simms butchering Ahmed’s name repeatedly is pretty cringe-worthy, lol.
Edit:
Beyond Ugly:
Keep politics off the podcast Simms. Taking a shot at a “faction” of the country that disagrees with your political opinions is a good way to lose listeners real fast. If this is a political opinion show, then change the category.”
