Listen now
Description
Paul Swinney, Director of Policy and Research at the Centre for Cities, talks to us about some of the challenges of levelling up in the UK and the link between productivity and a city's size. Next we are joined by Dr Abigail Taylor, from City-REDI at the University of Birmingham, who co-authored CIPFA's 'Investing in Regional Equality' report. She shares some insights into producing the report and why taking a local approach is so vital in levelling up. Finally, we hear from Aileen Murphie who is the chair of CIPFA's new Practice Oversight Panel. She explains what the new panel will do and some of the challenges on the horizon.
