If you are looking for a podcast about American civics, keep looking. Civics is the study of government structure, constitutional underpinnings and legal systems. Knowledge of the powers government has and those it doesn’t, is essential to American citizenship. So is knowing when your rights are being violated. This pod thinks civics is social studies/history. It lumbers through even those topics in a boring, condescending way. The two episodes I listened to interviewed the same person twice and half of it was an exact repeat of material covered in the first. I’m deeply disappointed, because a real pod about civics is sorely needed.

Each podcast provides insights into facts and processes that Americans ought to know before reacting to current events and forming opinions. In an era of increasing civic engagement, producing informed voters is an invaluable public service.

I studied Poli Sci, and this is a great way to refresh on some of the information and keep up with actual political matters!!

I've been recommending this podcast to my friends—we could all use a refresher on this stuff. Thank you for making it in small doses and easy to understand without being condescending.Read full review »
