“This is a terrifically bad podcast that whines perpetually about the desire to be middle class while simultaneously abhorring the idea of ever reaching it.
The podcast host is wholly uninteresting and views themself as a cultured hipster that also treads amongst the “authentic” people of the lower class. In essence, the podcast makes the mistake of construing authenticity and goodness with class, particularly lower class.
Their obsession with “not having these things as a kid” or “trying to fit in” is tiresome.”
