Wonderfully thought-provoking
I have yet to find an episode I didn’t find deeply interesting. I was somewhat disappointed that the conversation with Ken Auletta didn’t include Woody Allen when they discussed whether reviling Harvey Weinstein means rejecting his work. It’s much easier to separate the person from the product when that person isn’t either the writer, the director, or an actor (let alone all three). Alan is in two Woody Allen movies that I always loved, in large part because of Alan’s performances, but after watching the HBO docuseries about Dylan Farrow’s abuse allegations, I’m not sure I can really enjoy either Crimes and Misdemeanors or Manhattan Murder Mystery anymore.
