Promising Chaos
I hate this! What’s going on here?! 😂I also was laughing quite often. Imagine you’re sitting around a campfire with 3 strangers. It’s 2:30am, you have no idea how you wound up staying up so late. Tomorrow is your rest day, so you figure you’ll sit here and watch these knuckleheads obliterate their remaining brain cells with IPAs. The conversation has devolved in coherency but retains enough for you to follow some vague thread into the darkness. The conversation is like this - imagine the most antagonizing comments in a recent IG post about some recent FA or absurd opinion piece from climbing magazine. The comments section lights up like Yosemite granite in a summer storm- then imagine out of the darkness of the comments section - a robinhood style troll who responds to the more unhinged comments in a way that totally derails the original comment and turns the whole thing into a proper roast of not only the antagonist, but the sport itself. This is it. A malesteom if chaos and laughter and you can’t really decide why you’re still there but you know if you stick around long enough things might get brutally funny- or brutally chaotic. So, at that moment you decide to take one last swig and head for the tent. They don’t notice you leave but as you walk away you can still hear cackling in the distance. Goodspeed, you maniacs. Idk what this is about and I’m not sure you do either -but I’ll wait for pitch 6 to make the final judgment on this rig.
