On this episode of Club + Resort Talks, Club + Resort Business Senior Editor Phil Keren speaks with Kevin Clarke and Nick Markel from The Country Club of Buffalo about their club hosting its second annual Sporting Clays Invitational on Nov. 3 and 4.
Clarke, who chaired the event and served as captain of The Country Club of Buffalo’s sporting clays team, talks about the details of the competition, while Markel, the club’s General Manager, discusses the work that his staff performed behind the scenes.
This year, The Country Club of Buffalo welcomed teams from six other clubs to the shooting tournament: Long Vue Club and Golf Course in Verona, Pa., The Country Club (Pepper Pike, Ohio), Medinah (Ill.) Country Club, The Country Club (Brookline, Mass.), Country Club of Rochester (N.Y.), and Kirtland Country Club in Willoughby, Ohio.
The club is planning to welcome an expanded field in 2024.
