“I wish the FIRE movement would just be honest enough to say “if you don’t start off with a six figure or high five figure salary right out of college then you cannot be apart of the movement.” I am 32 years old and only make 45,000 before taxes. Doing FIRE sounds great but please be honest a let people know it’s only possible if you have a high paying salary. This is the true misconception of the movement.”
