“These guys research thought-provoking articles and then have interesting, challenging, often angry discussions about them and it totally works. Cecil says “period” way too much, which is an unattractive quality in any discourse, but since Tom always agrees with him it doesn’t come off as bad as it would it an actual debate. This podcast is very well-suited for “progressive but not Lincoln-hating crazy” dems, but if you’re looking for perspectives on both sides, it’s not for you. I would prefer if they gave some openness to the existence of a higher power but it’s not a dealbreaker. It’s the podcast you wish your right-wing dbag uncle would listen to and actually consider but that will never happen.”
