“I’m fairly new to podcasts that you are supposed to listen to for fun and inspiration. (I mostly listen to news and interview podcasts from NPR.) But I just discovered Colorful Conversations. I love getting inspired while trying to figure out ways to make my home and my family life more enjoyable, liveable and organized - while laughing in the process. Having been given a few recommendations of other home decor type podcasts, I hadn’t found one I liked - maybe because I couldn’t relate to the hosts. (Plus, they weren’t nearly as funny!) I grew up and live just outside of Boston but went to college in Virginia, and hearing these funny ladies just brings back good memories. Tasha and Thea not only have great tips but as a mom of a 7 year-old and twin 5 year-olds, I can really relate to them (especially Thea!). They aren’t afraid to admit that life is messy and that sometimes it’s OK to at least accept the messiness - before attempting to clean it up! Plus, they make me laugh out loud! I love when they go off on tangents and laugh at each other’s jokes - they’re just so genuine. It’s such a pleasure to listen to them while I do mundane but necessary stuff around the house like going through my kids’ ubiquitous artwork, folding laundry, and just tidying up! To answer your question about what is northerners do in the summer, we are lucky enough to spend chunks of time in Vermont with my mom at our family place, where we have a brook and we’re 5 minutes from countless hikes and swimming holes. But in the city there are TONS of splash pads and pools where kids go to cool off! Plus, the beach isn’t too far away. Thanks for reading!”
