Mr.
I have been living in Europe since October, and this podcast has provided sanity, humor, and clarity during the election and first hundred days. I felt like I was drowing in news from afar, and I was not getting much from my Facebook feed, which quickly turned into an echo chamber of progressive self-righteousness. As firm #NeverTrumpers until the very end, the podcast hosts are able to provide a remarkable critical perspective to Left and Right. I am less conservative than they are, but I never doubt that Podhoretz, Rothman, and Greenwald are firmly seeking (and speaking) the truth as they see it. The Monday and Thursday podcasts have become rituals of sorts for my week. Please make this a regular part of political podcast consumption!

More reviews of The Commentary Magazine Podcast
This was my first Commentary podcast. As a Brit. I enjoyed the accents of the contributors. The velvet tones wrapped some steely logic and analysis, which provided depth and breadth relative to the media on this side of the Pond.

Podhoretz should keep away from weapons and open windows. He is one gloomy dude.

From the opening notes of Mel Brooks "hope for the best expect the worst", this outstanding podcast is thoughtful, insightful, and endowed with the enlightened, tragic sensibility that comes from studying the lessons of history.Read full review »
