“I used to listen to the commsec morning and evening market wrap every day religiously. It was the most efficient way to keep up to date with what’s happening in global markets, a nice 3-5 minute snapshot of everything. I actually work for a competitor and would recommend the commsec podcast to all of my colleagues/clients because there was nothing else like it. Recently the podcast has shifted away from providing investors/traders short, sharp updates to long winded, fluffy podcast talk. I don’t mean to sound disrespectful to those running the podcast as they clearly know what they are talking about, but there are more than enough talking heads out there providing investors/traders with their opinions and not enough people keeping them informed on an efficient matter. For this reason I no longer listen to the podcast or recommend it to anyone else. If it ever changes back to how it was, I’ll jump on board again.”
