“I have been studying Russian since Dec 2015. What an amazing language. It is like brain exercise 💪🏻 I love working out at the gym and this is an intellectual work out. I have had more than 10 teachers, all with different teaching techniques. But nothing beats listening as Max points out in one of his earlier podcasts (strangely very few old school teachers stress the importance of listening). When you study a language as hard as Russian it is important to make a lot of concentrated efforts early on and feel you are making progress else you lose motivation and with it all hope to master the language. The problem with audio stuff is that it has to be fun and enjoyable and frankly a lot of the audio available online for foreigners studying Russian is either too basic, too hard or too boring. Max strikes the perfect balance with his material. He does the best job I have seen (and trust me I have seen a lot) and by a long stretch.
