“As a credentialed and trained historian, I’m getting pretty tired of the “Walt Disney wasn’t a racist” rhetoric. Of course he was. He also definitely believed certain things about women that we wouldn’t love. That’s history. I listened to this podcast religiously for a good year or so but after the Jim Korkis talks about Song of the South episode I fell off pretty quickly. Now that #MeToo is in full swing I’m really tired of acting like people we hold as heroes didn’t do terrible things back in the day. This podcast needs some extra research into historiography, some better writing, and a less didactic nature to re-attract my attention. DIS needs more women, folks.”
