“So I discovered Bridgewater a few weeks ago and really liked. After finishing that one up I looked at the other stuff by Grimm & Mild and saw this and figured since it seem to be going for the same type of story that I’d like it just as much as Bridgewater….. oh boy was I sadly mistaken. First off the main character is simply insufferable. The mystery starts off really interesting though so I figured I could forgive the whole annoying main character thing. Unfortunately the mystery becomes very convoluted very quickly. They also do this really strange thing where every couple of episodes start off with this really long song for some reason. Like the episodes themselves are already kinda short and the songs (which are admittedly lovely songs) don’t really add much to the actual story so why waste time with them? There’s a bunch of other strange things like there’s old creepy church music that plays quite a bit, hinting at the “monster” being some kind of like demonic thing, but then, in literally the last couple of episodes, it ends up being something out of Native American folklore soooo was the creepy church music just there to throw us off or something? You spent so much time building up that aspect that the whole Native American angle seem to come out of nowhere which makes the ending feel rushed and just confusing. Bridgewater wasn’t perfect but wow what a stark comparison”
