Description
Kitara Johnson is a highly sought speaker and trainer for state agencies, schools, businesses, hospitals, and municipal organizations. In addition to working at her own firm, she also serves as the Chief Human Resource Officer at the second largest Behavioral Health Organization in the Inland Northwest. Kitara's experience as a former Chief Diversity Officer within a large complex organization, where she managed and supported strategic organizational development, Health Equity Outcomes, Community Health partnerships, and training. Kitara was awarded Top 100 Chief Diversity Officers in the United States in April of 2021 by the National Diversity Council and was a presenter at the National Diversity and Leadership Conference. Kitara earned her Master’s in Organizational Leadership and Management at Webster University, a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Workforce Education and Development, and her Associate of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Development, and a graduate of Cornell University’s Diversity & Inclusion for Human Resources Certificate Program. Kitara is a graduate of Leadership Spokane and is an alumnus of JustLead Washington, a year-long diversity, equity, social justice leadership, and professional development training program.
