Biased
I’ve just discovered this podcast and have listened to a few episodes thus far. It’s been on hiatus for a while but seems to be making a return in 2022, which I’m glad about. I’ll keep listening because it’s interesting and I like learning about people. However, the show is inherently flawed in that it usually tends to face two people of disparate ideologies off against each other, usually in a categorical, binary left wing vs right wing format. The unspoken element is that the right winger’s views are usually viewed as bad and incorrect whilst the left winger’s are framed as good and virtuous. A further catch is that the right winger is not only confronted by a left wing opponent, but also by the host who is about as far left, and “intersectional” as one could be. Accordingly, many episodes result in the duo indicating how wrong the right winger’s views are and duping them into agreeing with them for their troubles. Come the end, a now-enlightened trio thank each other for opening their eyes and disappear into the ether having learned absolutely nothing. Still a thought provoking listen though.

I didn't really know what to expect, but the first episode had outstanding content coupled with professional editing. I honestly learned so much about the conservative perspective from the first episode. Definitely gonna use some things learned in my conversations with conservative friends.Read full review »
