Working with secondary progressed Moon phases is a great way to understand how our energy, fortune and vitality shifts over time. Knowing what phase your progressed Moon is in can tell you whether you're in a life phase of gathering resources or a time more focused on releasing, resting and letting go. Our Moon phase episode discusses how to determine your natal Moon phase in your birth chart based on the placements of your natal Sun and natal Moon. To determine your progressed Moon phase, use the same technique but look at the relationship between your progressed Sun and progressed Moon. So if your progressed Sun is in Sagittarius and your progressed Moon is in Pisces, your progressed Moon would be in its waxing crescent or waxing first quarter phase, depending on the distance between the planets.
