The Resurrection of Our Lord from the Tomb is a feast that holds profound meaning to all who celebrate it. This joyful season continues for the next 50 days; we do not fast on Wednesdays and Fridays, the Church's curtains are changed to white, and all the hymns are changed to their joyful tunes instead of the mournful tunes we are used to during Lent. A hymn commonly chanted in the church; "Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life." Let us all rise with Christ, in celebrating His resurrection and enjoy this period of joy in the Church.
