Surface Level and Condescending at Times
I gave about ten or twelve episodes a chance before unsubscribing. The podcast can definitely have some useful information, but often times it will stop just short of the juicy details and instead refer you to a link in the show notes for more details. It isn’t really helpful while driving or on a flight. I’m not sure the producers understand the strengths and weaknesses of podcasts in that regard. It’s possible that I came in during this show’s “NPR annual fundraiser”, but every other episode felt like they were trying to sell me on a class or conference. The worst instances were when they’d roll out manufactured scarcity and tell you to “buy now, because next week the price triples!” For me, it felt condescending and more like an MLM pitch than a real opportunity for professional development. If you’re trying to teach people how to sell, at least assume we’re savvy enough to know when we’re being sold.

Brian and company is kind of like this hot girlfriend I keep coming back to. I keep filling my canteen each time I return to learn more. Seriously the most precise stuff on the Internet when it comes to Internet Marketing and copy.

I look forward to the podcast each week - it is filled with great information that I can easily apply to my own business. I listen to it while I am walking the dogs and have had to stop on more than one occasion to write an "ah-ha" idea into my iPhone!Read full review »
