Medical researchers all over the globe are racing to understand the Omicron variant and preliminary studies show that it may be more transmissible than the previous Delta variant. Omicron was first reported in South Africa which has had a spike in COVID cases but thus far symptoms have been less severe than the Delta variant, causing some optimism that this latest strain can be controlled. FOX's Trey Yingst speaks to Dr. Nicole Saphier, FOX News Medical Contributor and author of the book "Panic Attack: Playing Politics With Science In The Fight Against COVID-19", who says we need more data on Omicron before getting panicked about the new variant.
