“I have been looking at so much information about this exact thing for so long, but I’ve never heard anyone talk like this. The notion that this abuse forms our personality when we live with this ‘basement’ for years and years is not addressed. (And all focus in help goes to them and their ‘disease’ which confirms my lack of value.) Any therapy for us is all about our childhood (which is a good start) but absolutely nothing about what this behavior has done to us. I don’t have a way out, but I can have education. Please keep going!”
