This week on Clinical Conversations we have two episodes on clinical skills. In the first episode, Dr Jonathan Bardgett and Dr Anda Bularga talk with Professor Andrew Elder about clinical skills in postgraduate medicine. They discuss how medical education has changed over the years internationally. Professor Andrew Elder is the President of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (RCPE) and an NHS Consultant in Medicine for Older People. Since 2013 he has built collaborations with a number of centres in North America, most notably Stanford and Johns Hopkins, serving as a Visiting Scholar and Fellow at the former, where he has supported teaching and assessment of core bedside skills and co-founded the Society of Bedside Medicine to promote those skills.
