Coy’s love for pop culture (comics in particular) is incredibly infections that comes with colorful adjectives and positivity towards entertainment and mental/physical health.
Jake is a very effective stand-in for us fans who might have some knowledge but aren’t as well-versed in the geekdom that is cómics like Coy. I appreciate the dynamic that balances out the potential audience of different levels of sweaties. I have a lot of blind spots in the fandoms, but the way most of this is explained by the two hosts doesn’t feel like it alienantes me at all and I can be just as excited for it. (Realistically, I don’t think there’s many who can be AS excited as Coy, but you get the idea.)
