Identity politics
In the recent episode they were critical of leftist elites paying too much attention to identity politics, which they do not define, rather than issues that affect more people. BUT, if they are talking about race and ethnicity, the US census identifies only 60 percent of the population identifying as no Hispanic whites. So “identity politics” addresses the concerns of a lot of people. Keeping in mind that this group is not monolithic. And, of course, I would like to see more attention paid to class issues.
