Hello and welcome to Episode 9 of the Create More podcast. This fortnight Ben went over to the Studio Octopi studio in South London to talk one half of the founding directors Chris Romer-Lee.
Studio Octopi are a really interesting architectural design studio established in 2003 who grew through a series of small residential projects and are now doing some fantastic projects in many different sectors, such as the Bradford college Greek Theatre, and also the Delfina Foundation Project.
They have also made a name for themselves with the Thames Baths project, which is the idea of a floating swimming pool in the Thames. This design is part of growing series of projects done with a successful Kickstarter campaign. The project has already smashed its target of £125,000 to take it to planning and they are aiming to complete (if all goes to plan) in 2017.
Ben and Chris talk all about this and how the practice started and more over the course of an hour.
