Ep. 43 - Identifying Abusers: Upbringing, Behavioral Patterns, and Church Situations
Listen now
Description
One of the most difficult discussions to have within the church has to be the issues surrounding spiritual, emotional, mental, and sexual abuse. So much damage and pain has been done by pastors and leaders who have not learned how to exercise godly authority over the flock they are supposed to protect and lead.  This is part 2 of a series where I am covering different elements and situations on how abusers operate within the church.  I will continue to focus on helping listeners develop an awareness of the backgrounds of abusers, as well as describe how they relate in relationships, and what situations make them more likely to do so. Tune in today as I describe what characteristics abusers display. Specifically, I discuss:  - Some common aspects of their history and upbringing,  - Behavioral patterns in relationships (relational characteristics), and  - Situations in which abuse is likely to happen (situational characteristics).  This was a difficult topic to cover, and I only covered a few points, but if you have any questions or comments at all, please  email me at [email protected].
