At age 37, while raising five children, Ilene began her college career; she entered the work force at age 44 as the founding coordinator of a landmark human-development program for women. Her graduate degree is in human development, and she has a Doctor of Ministry in spirituality and work from the University of Creation Spirituality, founded by Matthew Fox. Now in her mid-80s, Ilene continues to teach on the themes of beauty, aging, legacy, and forgiveness.
