“The female narrator seems to conduct a fair amount of preparation; however, she mispronounces the word “room” as “rum”, which grinds on my nerves, particularly in the JonBenef Ramsey episode. She seems American, so I am unsure why she cannot pronounce this word correctly. The male narrator seems clueless and doesn’t add much to the narrative. I understand the need to add levity to such gruesome stories - they seem to be following the True Crime Garage podcast formula. I believe TCG has a more professional narrator, and the “sidekick” adds a bit more than laughs versus this male narrator since he also composes original music for each episode. I don’t believe this podcast offers anything different from other more tenured true crime podcasts, and I also think they seem to buy into some unsubstantiated or rumored (and often contested or false) statements to build their theory of the case. They need some more workz”
