In August 2007, 20 year old Sophie Lancaster and her 21 year old boyfriend Robert Maltby were viciously attacked in the skate park area of Stubbylee Park, in Bacup, Lancashire. The mob of 5 teenage boys initially assaulted Robert, leaving him unconscious; rather than fleeing for her own safety, Sophie stayed and cradled her injured boyfriend, but the mob weren’t done.
