Today we watched The Upside, a very popular disability film (adapted from a superior french version) about a recently paralyzed investor who hires an ex-convict as a "life auxiliary". Despite some elements of tired melodrama, the film is saved by a believable bromance, deft humour, and a painfully resonant moment of rejection.
