The first NATO flight with humanitarian relief for Pakistan took off this morning from Geilenkirchen airbase in Germany. The Trainer Cargo Aircraft of NATO Airborne Early Warning and Control Force (AWACS) transport donated by Republic of Slovakia relief goods including power generators, water pumps and tents. NATO decision to provide airlift for the delivery of aid donated by nations and humanitarian relief organizations is in response to a request by the Government of Pakistan.
