Refreshing, but oddly deracinated
So great to hear 3 highly intelligent people apply their critical perspectives to our roiling culture. But how do you talk about monoculture without addressing the fact that not ALL kids heard Nickleback when they put on the radio? White kids, listening to specific radio stations, did. POC, queer people etc have had totally different relationships to the “monoculture” than the straight white mainstream did.

One of my favorite shows! I love how they put “high” and “low” culture in conversation with each other. Like listening to a conversation between the three most fun and well read people at the dinner party. I look forward to it every week
