“I’m from Youngstown and I will love Youngstown forever. We do have a checkered past but I hope that a look into this history gets more people learning about the Youngstown of today- lots of exciting things happening at the Mahoning Valley- in spite of years of ineffective leadership and an old boys’ club establishment holding back progress for far too long. The people of Youngstown are resilient, friendly and centered around family. It will always be hard for us to shake the image of being a mob town, but I encourage listeners to take a look at some of the great things happening in present-day Youngstown.”
