When is the right time for a podcast host to joke about a genocide?
I’m not sure, but I’m pretty certain it is sometime after the most recent episode. The guest obliquely noted things were good with him, but for the significant crisis in Europe. In a fit of chuckling at his own humor, the introducer doubled-down on the reference, playing silly by likening the land war and atrocities in Europe to sports playoffs. I get it, you jest. Yeah, and keep it light, but that’s a little too light. Afterwards, even the guest seemed uncomfortable with that kind of banter. If you’re the only one laughing at the joke…
