Description
Please join us for the next installment of the Schieffer Series, Russian Active Measures: Past, Present, and Future. The discussion will focus on U.S.-Russian information warfare and how we can learn lessons from the past.  During the Cold War, the Soviets engaged in a series of “active measures” to influence populations across the globe, including in the United States. In response, the Reagan Administration responded with a combination of overt and covert information operations. This panel will explore lessons from the Reagan Administration and implications for today. Now in its 10th consecutive year, the Schieffer Series is produced by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in partnership with the Bob Schieffer College of Communication at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas.
