“A welcomed podcast especially with Kelly front and center. A great counter balance to the know-it-all drone of Kaplan.
All Cubs fans are fooling themselves with the appointment of David Ross. Epstein chose loyalty over excellence. What was refreshing about Maddon was his prodigious intellect and that he was not connected to Epstein/Hoyer. Ross won’t provide anything “anew”, he’ll do some barking and yell at Lester, the Cubs’ fourth starter.
But as he faces the Brewers, Nationals, Dodgers, Phillies and Braves—the National League elite—I wish the Cubs had the smartest manager. I guess I’ll flip on the Angels’ games when I crave something other than a Manchurian Candidate.”
