“Love the show 5/5 stars.
I live in a state with the Brood X cicadas, so I thought I’d describe the hosts as stages of the cicada life cycle. I did this during a 10-mile hike with too much time to think about it.
Alec- the cicada emerging from the ground after 17 years. It all starts here. Eating, growing, doing. the. work. Undervalued, under appreciated.
Surbhi- the casing the cicada leaves behind on tree trunks when they molt. They’re really cool to look at and you can sneak them onto people’s clothes when they aren’t looking. Very fun. Might sound terrible, but arguably the best part of the cicada experience.
Michael- the mature cicada, screaming from the treetops for love and attention. Peak cicada.
All the best!”
