It’s not AHP at her best
I’ve loved Can’t Even and Out of Office and really enjoyed a lot of Work Appropriate. I can’t say that I’ve enjoyed this pod much. The guests are often just other Substack writers and the conversations feel like opinions presented as fact. I don’t think Anne challenges enough of the guests responses. This isn’t to say everything needs to turn into an argument but some of the guests are sharing what is essentially just anecdotes. I actually think an episode about the culture of substance would be interesting because I feel like so many writers on there are in desperately need an editor The good ones: The clothing episodes, good reads and christian rock were all interesting The bad ones: The divorce episode (Lyz Lenz seemed drunk) the jeans episode (Virginia Sole Smith is unbearable to listen to) and the Taylor Swifts ones Everything else is just kinda in the middle

Great episode but the guest got Naomi Wolf and Naomi Klein confused! (The Feminine Draw of Contemporary Conspiracy Theories)

Found he by accident at buzzfeed and have subscribed to her substack and podcasts ever since. She sees our world so clearly, and it’s always fun to listen to her and her guests thoughts! Anne Helen = chief millennial thought leader? Food for thought.
