What happens next in the life of pop stars
I may be biased because Lol and Budgie are somewhat heroes of mine. Drummers that have inspired me and that I have imitated more times than I can count. But the most important part is not how great these two musicians were. Instead, in this podcast, both gentleman candidly give us an insight inside what it is to have been on top of the (goth) world, touring the planet and being loved by millions, to landing here and now, older and without the bright lights blinding and fans screaming. Where they go from here and what it means to grow old in dignity after such a dazzling life. As an aging drummer who has also toured and played in bands, I can completely relate to the beautiful memories they share and to their brutally honest view on what it is to be a former pop star. I feel that, in our modern societies, we tend to forget our elders to replace them with what ever is new. The Curious Creatures Podcast is not only about looking at past pictures of them but looking through the lense of the present seing Budgie and Lol creating the now.

Interesting thoughts and background information. Reminds of getting kicked out during a soundcheck in Düsseldorf, because the banshees (or souxsie) did not want anyone around watching…so sad 😎

Both Lol and Budgie make a great team. They really compliment each other. Even if you didn’t own a trench...Read full review »
