United States President-elect Donald Trump has named tech magnate Elon Musk and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy as his picks to lead the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, a new body he plans to establish once he returns to the White House. “Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my Administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies,” Trump said in a statement on Tuesday. On Tuesday, Trump nominated former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe to head the Central Intelligence Agency, FOX News host and army veteran Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defence, and Florida Congressman Michael Waltz as National Security adviser.
Russia has launched another missile attack on the Ukrainian port city of Odesa. Some buildings in the central suburbs were damaged. Another attack has also been reported in the city of Kharkiv near the border with Russia, injuring 19 people.
