Syria fighting: Armed group launches attack on government forces

There've been intense battles between Syrian government forces and fighters in the northwestern provinces of Aleppo and Idlib. At least 132 fighters and soldiers have been killed - after the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham armed group launched an attack. It says it's captured several villages and a military base.
