Osunlade - producer, musician, DJ - hailing from St. Louis Missouri, a place known for pioneering blues, ragtime and jazz as well - began his professional journey in 1988, at age seventeen during a visit to Hollywood. Over the last 30 years he has written, produced and remixed an extensive body of work. After many years of living in New York, Puerto Rico and Europe, in 2017 he has made St. Louis his personal and professional base again. Back to traveling extensively after the global pandemic, you can catch him djing all over the world or streaming live through his Yoruba Soul Radio Twitch channel.
In this episode Osunlade talks about his approach to Djing, his global fanbase and community, and the relationship between the dancers and the DJ.
Recorded before his DJ set for Soul In The Horn in Brooklyn, March 2023.
