I was confused as to why only the BACP directory gets a mention as a place to find accredited therapists — there are additional and equally professional registers of therapists who are rigorously trained and abide by the highest and strictest standards in the field of psychotherapy and/or counselling eg UKCP and the BPC. It gave the impression that only the BACP can be trusted, which is not the case.”
