Arek Hersh was a 10 year old boy when he was taken from his family and thrust into a terrifying world. He was beaten and starved, he ate grass and chewed on his shoes to abate hunger. He was worked almost to death, toiling for long hours in often sub-zero temperatures. He lived in this perpetual hell for years…until, one day, he was randomly chosen for an experimental project in another country.
